Exploring the streets of Santa Fe

I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Macalester College. I work primarily in ethics and moral psychology; feminist philosophy; and social and political philosophy, and have additional research interests in South Asian moral, social, and political philosophy.

During AY 26-27, I will be on a research sabbatical.

I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Michigan. Before Michigan, I studied philosophy and poetry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (and also at Duke University nearby). And before North Carolina, I grew up in Arizona. 

Outside philosophy, I dabble in many hobbies; I'll share just two highlights for fun. A bit ago, I wrote an ekphrastic poem, inspired by an installation created by my colleague Lela Pierce (and also by the Upanishads). More recently, I enjoyed taking lots of photos on a trip to CO/NM, some of which you can see throughout this website.
