I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Macalester College. I work primarily in ethics, moral psychology, feminist philosophy, and social philosophy, and have additional research interests in Indian moral and political philosophy.
I received my Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Michigan, where I wrote my dissertation, "Consent, Blame, and Sex", under the supervision of Ishani Maitra. Before Michigan, I completed a BA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in philosophy and minoring in poetry writing. As a Robertson Scholar, I also took courses in philosophy and poetry at Duke University. For my senior thesis project, I wrote a collection of poetry, Sonder, under the supervision of Alan Shapiro. Before UNC and Duke, I grew up in Chandler, Arizona (in the Phoenix area). Throughout my life, I've had a lot of interests outside philosophy, including traveling, running, and watching movies. At the moment, I'm learning parkour! |
